I've been to this location before a couple of years ago but decided to come here again on a whim (on a weekday, during the early afternoon, specifically on a Tuesday) and I feel like I hit the jackpot!
It was definitely more busy than usual (especially coming here on a Tuesday, right after lunchtime) but I found some epic deals for sure!
I found some cozy Aeropostale hoodies perfect for the fall/winter season coming up, found a cute fitted jacket, a cute blazer to go with jeans, and the best find of them all: authentic genuine leather cowboy boots, IN MY SIZE!
Yes, it needs a bit of polishing, yes, it needs to be taken to the shoe cobbler to get a minor thing done. But guess what, I only spent thirteen dollars on it, which is phenomenal! Earlier this day I stopped by a more expensive thrift boutique. Saw a couple of cute cowboy boots, which cost between forty to fifty dollars. Then I had this thought, "hey Savers, is less than two miles from here, maybe I'll get lucky". Then stopped at Savers, then I found these boots! Completely love it at first sight, besides the price!
So yes, sometimes, Savers is a hit and miss, but this visit was a definite HIT! Racks were neat and tidy. However, due to the pandemic, they do not have any fitting rooms available to try on clothes at this time. You just have to buy it, try it at home, and bring it back for a refund or exchange within 14 days of purchase. Have to bring back receipt with clothes and TAGS still on it.
I bought a computer monitor from here that didn't work because it wasn't properly tested before being put on the shelf. The monitor seemed to work for 3 to 4 minutes then would go dark. They refused to let me return it, much less exchange it for a different monitor, and when offered to speak to a manager the cashier instead ignored me and never went to get a manager and left me waiting up front for no reason and I never got to speak to a manager. Keep in mind I had a receipt in my hand for the monitor and it was only 2 days apart. Savers has the worst customer service I've experienced in years
The store is a for profit company that gets everything donated. What the don't sell to the public. They resell to impoverished areas or counties. You would thunk they'd appreciate donations. Nope... They are rude at the donation center. They only have self check out and the "cashier" at that station is also rude, arguing with customers and talking bad about customers. The check out station scan equipment doesn't work and you have to scan everything multiple times. They charge you for a paper bag for your purchases to go in. Oh, they also won't hold a large item at the front while you finish shopping "because of covid". There are no dressing rooms.
The store is filfthy. Literally, the ONLY good thing about this place is that they are open on Sunday. I have never had a worse experience shopping in the whole state of utah than this place.
I used to love to donate and buy stuff from this store but lately their prices are very high like if the clothes are brand new! Also they don't have a place where we try the clothes and it is so hard to return stuff.
Items were overpriced. 15 dollars for a shirt! 4 dollars for a pillow covering! I can buy new for that! Then at the check out the helper did not tell me that if I joined the club I could get 20% off. I saw the sign as I left (with the small print). Very little help available to find things. Not going back.
Because of Joy!!!
So I go in as a customer to buy items, and then I talk to my fiancee to find where some other items were, well Joy the boss freaks out on my fiancee telling her that and I quote " your boyfriend can't come in and follow you around"
Yet I see other customers talking to other workers and don't get yelled at. Talk about FAVORITISM and DISCRIMINATION all in one person. Thanks Savers for that!
Fat old lady at door searched me before I left. Any body else ?or is it because im brown? Wednesday May 3, 2:30 pm
chris helped us with our donations and he is so sweet, and he cleaned up some glass we accidentally broke! thanks for helping us chris☺️
